His work spans Disney's full media ecosystem, encompassing cross-network content across ABC, Freeform, National Geographic, Hulu, and Disney+, as well as digital and social media — ensuring brand stories reach and resonate with audiences wherever they engage. His portfolio spans on-air campaigns, original programming, digital and social initiatives, product integrations, and live experiential events that consistently redefine what branded storytelling can be.

Before stepping into his current role, Powers served for nine years as Head of Creative Development at ABC Television's Digital Studio, where he spearheaded scripted extensions for Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives, and produced acclaimed live-streaming coverage tentpole events such as The Oscars and The CMA Awards. He also partnered closely with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to pioneer the backstage "Thank You Cam" at the Oscars — an innovation that gave global audiences an unprecedented and intimate look behind the curtain of Hollywood's most celebrated night.

A recognized voice in the industry, Powers earned an Emmy nomination for his LOST branded content and took home the Promax Gold Award for writing and producing The Wonderful World of Disney Special for Target. His career began at Disney in 2005, following formative roles at MTV, Oxygen Network, and Universal Studios. He holds a BA in Entertainment Communications from the University of Central Florida.
